I’ve been shooting pictures this summer for The Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh, and this particular commission was to shoot some stock photography to promote the garden’s Celebrate Life programme. People can adopt trees, have a leaf on the Hope Tree engraved in the Gateway building, use the commemorative book, and leave a legacy, amongst other things. It’s a great way to remember a loved one who enjoyed the gardens or to celebrate an occasion. It was a beautifully sunny day and we covered a lot of ground during the shoot – some of my lucky models got a ride in the golf cart but I was on foot with my gear. One of the bonuses of being a location photographer is that I don’t need to pay for a gym membership – this job gives me all the workout I need!
