Happy chap…

I had a cracking morning this week photographing the absolute heartbreaker Marcus, six months old to the day and about as cheery as you can get! So many smiles, such lovely big eyes, I took far too many pictures as he was such a contented wee soul. He’s not quite sitting yet so we had...

Back in the saddle again…

Well, I’m back behind the lens again after my break for maternity leave and loving it! On Saturday I was busy photographing handsome wee man Ruan – thirteen months old, just toddling along and such a lovely character. He had lots of gummy smiles to give and after some colourful shots indoors we headed out...

Eight months old…

My beautiful wee girl is nearly eight months old and it’s such a lovely stage. Gorgeous and cheruby, all rosy pink cheeks, long lashes, gummy thumb sucking and plump legs, I just had to capture just a little of this scrumptious stage before Rose  is all grown up and causing havoc! Love, love, love that...

Tina and Ian…

I felt very privileged to be a part of Tina and Ian’s very special and intimate ceremony held at Dalhousie Castle on their 25th wedding anniversary on Valentine’s Day. It was a beautiful day, Tina looked stunning in her red dress and the sun shone down as they renewed their vows to each other in...

Oh my…..

Gosh, sometimes my job is soooo hard. Try photographing these delicious cakes for example, whilst not accidently drooling on them. I’m not kidding, my mouth was watering for the whole shoot! I was in gorgeous cafe Mimi’s Bakehouse at The Shore in Leith, to photograph their beautiful scrumptious cakes and take some interior shots for...

Gillies and Innes…

Check out these two beautiful wee boys – Gillies and Innes are cousins, just a few months apart, and a great deal of fun to photograph. They were very sweet despite wriggling around everywhere or hitting each other in the face during their shots together! The perfect shot came up in the end, with them...

Laura & Craig’s wedding…

I recently had the pleasure of shooting the NYC themed wedding of Laura and Craig in Edinburgh. I met up with Laura in the morning to do some candid shots of everyone getting ready at boutique hotel The Fraser Suites. Laura looked stunning, with her delicate dress and long veil, it made for some beautiful...

Beautiful wee man…

I always enjoy photographing newborns – it’s a really special time, the wee one has just arrived, mum and dad are shell-shocked but over the moon, and it always feels a real honour to be welcomed into someone’s home to capture that moment. It means even more when the newbie parents are friends, so I...

The Good Life…

I was recently commissioned to take some photography for a book on allotment gardening by The Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh. Growing your own fruit and veg is a real growing trend at the moment, and this book will be explaining lots of techniques to make the most of your own little patch of heaven, so...

Where the wild things are…

The other day I had a great time shooting pictures for The Woodland Trust, covering some weird and wacky characters in Pressmennan Wood, East Lothian. The wonderful company Rowanbank entranced children from local schools by unfurling themselves from up in the trees, operating puppets in the long grass and taking the children on an entertaining...
